As a seasoned mortgage agent and landlord, a question I get asked a lot is what type of property should I purchase as my first investment.
It all comes down to the type of tenant you want to deal with. Do you see yourself working with a family or a single individual?
I recommend you write down what you want in an ideal tenant. This could be age, family or single, would they be a student etc.
By doing this, you will understand what type of property you should purchase!
