One of the biggest decisions you'll make as a landlord is whether you should hire a property management company.
Many landlords manage properties on their own - as do I. But sometimes landlords need more help, and that's when a property management company might be a great decision.
If you own 1-3 rental properties it might make sense to manage it on your own. However, if you choose to hire a property management company there are a few things to note.
Hiring a management company will cost you 10%-40% of your rental income.
The company will be the main contact for your tenants. This means that your tenants won’t necessarily know who you are.
The services offered by a management company vary.
